fun stuff i'm working on

If you want to see some of the code I’ve written, check out my Github profile.

Let’s Sail

I’m creating a React and WebGL-based application to teach users how to sail. I am working on this with some of my former coworkers, and it is helping me to learn the fundamentals of web development. This project has been designed to be user-focused, with extensive user interviews being conducted to determine its usefulness to beginner sailors.

Farming Game

I’m creating a tranquil and immersive 2D farming game set on a distant planet that combines my love for robotics and game development. I intend to leverage Unity’s Muse to create a visually enchanting experience for players.

Eggstravaganza

This was a game developed with some of my coworkers at Unity. It is a multiplayer game where you play as a gopher and try to collect more eggs than your opponents. Developing this game really helped me learn about networking and how to create a positive user experience in multiplayer games.

Mint++

Mint++ is a budget tracker based on Intuit’s Mint, a popular budgeting app. This project added features that are missing from Mint, such as:

This project made use of MintAPI, which screen scrapes Mint to get account data using Selenium. Mint++ was developed as a command line application in Python with the plan to create Web-based UI in the future.

Unfortunately, due to Intuit discontinuing Mint, this project is no longer in development. In the future I would love to make my own budgeting app.

Custom Smart Home System

This project aims to use primarily Arduino to create a customized, cost effective smart home, with the goal of being energy efficient and secure. My home doesn’t have centralized air conditioning or heating, so I needed to implement this myself. A concept map of this system is seen below: image info

In the future I would like to use a tool such as Blynk to be able to get information to my phone, or to be able to control the system remotely.

Personal Website

The latest iteration of my personal website (the one you’re reading right now!) was created using the Hugo framework.

ideas without borders

During the second half of my undergrad, I was involved in Engineers Without Borders on their podcast portfolio to create ideas without borders. During this, I was able to deep dive into various social issues in Canada and analyze them from a systems thinking perspective.
